After several years in the banking business and after operating his own retail business, he fulfilled a long-time ambition to go back to his roots in Placentia Bay and give people a real true "life around the bay" experience. Gary was born in Merasheen and moved to Placentia under the Government Resettlement Program in 1968. He is "skipper" of the M.V. Merasheen and he handles all the marine aspects of the operation, including the transportation of passengers to and from Woody Island, the tour on the bay, whale watching, etc. He can sometimes be persuaded to play you a jig on the accordian.
